In a strategic move to take advantage of the rapid economic growth in India and strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Intel Corporation has announced the appointment of new officers for its Sales, Marketing and Communications Group (SMG), This restructuring is part of the company’s ongoing transformation initiative.
Hans Chuang: General Manager, SMG Asia Pacific and Japan
Hans Chuang has been named General Manager of SMG for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Area, effective immediately. Based in Taiwan, Hans will oversee Intel’s overall operations in the Asia-Pacific region, driving revenue growth, fostering new opportunities within the local ecosystem and strengthening relationships with existing partners and customers.
Together MBA from McGill University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Hans brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. “Intel is changing, and I’m excited to lead the company’s growth and innovation in APJ, one of the most diverse and fastest-growing areas for Intel,” said Hans.
Santosh Viswanathan: VP & MD-India Region
Recognizing India’s rapid economic growth, Intel has designated the country as a specific region within its SMG organization. Santosh Viswanathan has been appointed as Vice President and Managing Director, India RegionLeveraging their experience to drive value and customer-centricity.

By creating a separate region, we are enabling our teams to work closely with our customers, including our strong engineering base in India. This is a very exciting time for Intel in India, and I am thrilled to lead our business in the country,” Santosh said.
